BBC Live Broadcast & News Gathering at RAF Fairford
We spent a long day working with the BBC at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, providing camera, news gathering and live broadcast support during a major security incident around the US-operated airbase.

Live BBC Broadcasts from RAF Fairford
The story was fast-moving, with requirements changing regularly. We provided camera and technical support for BBC Network news.
Our LiveU was used alongside Starlink satellite connectivity, providing additional resilience and helping keep the live broadcasts on air without interruption.
Our ability to respond quickly was helped considerably by being based just 12 minutes from RAF Fairford.

International Media Coverage

The incident attracted significant international media attention, with crews arriving from the United States, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Greece and Ireland, alongside the UK broadcasters.
For solo16, the deployment was another example of the importance of having experienced news gathering and live broadcast facilities close to RAF Fairford.
We can provide camera crews, LiveU transmission, Starlink connectivity and single or multi-camera coverage for both breaking news and planned deployments.
From National News to BBC 'Points West'.

Once the main national news broadcasts were complete, we adapted the setup for a regional news outside broadcast for BBC Points West.
The deployment shifted from fast-moving national news coverage to providing the facilities required for the regional programme, demonstrating the flexibility of a compact OB setup that can be quickly reconfigured as editorial requirements change.
It meant the same crew and core equipment could continue supporting the BBC throughout the day, rather than requiring a completely separate broadcast setup.
