Live at Spinnaker Tower For BBC Breakfast

Yesterday we supplied BBC Breakfast with two cameras and a camera crew for live broadcasts at Spinnaker Tower located at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.

We were tasked with filming from the ground while another cameraman, supplied by the BBC, filmed from the top of the tower.

Presenter John Maguire was the 50,000th person to abseil down the tower, which marks its 20th anniversary in October. More than five million people have visited since it opened.

We were mainly filming the weather with Matt Taylor, but when John started the abseil, we moved to the bottom of the tower to capture the landing.

We broadcast with our LiveU and also provided the LiveU Smart app on an iPhone, giving the BBC a wide shot from the ground of the tower.
