OVERVIEW
Unreasonable Group is a global organisation that helps high-growth entrepreneurs tackle major social and environmental challenges through business.
Unreasonable Alchemy was the first-ever global flagship community gathering hosted by the Unreasonable Group.
We have supported Unreasonable with their UK events since 2017. Read more about their work here.
This event took place in June 2026 at the historic Heythrop Park resort in the Cotswolds, UK near Oxford.
The event was designed around the idea of "transformation" (the core of alchemy) and inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s famous quote: "all progress depends on the unreasonable man".
It is the first initiative by the organisation to bring its entire global network together in one place—including impact entrepreneurs (Fellows), mentors, institutional partners, and investors.
The size of the event and venue meant Unreasonable required a reliable team to support them and solo16 was there to provide the solid foundations.
THE BRIEF
Unreasonable requested every moment was captured and delivered to the highest standard. The brief was to supply comprehensive video coverage to include general footage across the large site, interview filming, presentation support and multi-camera theatre production.
solo16 provided Unreasonable with broadcast-quality coverage suitable for archive, on-demand viewing, future content creation and promotional use.
OUR SERVICES
Dynamic Event Highlights Coverage
Our highlights team consisted of two dedicated camera operators equipped with large-sensor cameras mounted on gimbals. This combination allowed us to move seamlessly throughout the venue, capturing cinematic footage of keynote speakers, networking sessions, workshops and behind-the-scenes moments.
The goal was to create engaging highlight content that reflected both the energy of the event and the unique atmosphere of Heythrop Park. The resulting footage provided Unreasonable with valuable content for future marketing, social media and stakeholder engagement.
Backstage Support
Successful conferences depend on more than great speakers. Behind every seamless presentation is a team ensuring content appears exactly when and where it should.
solo16 provided backstage stage management personnel as well as PowerPoint and presentation support throughout the event, managing slide decks and co-ordinating closely with speakers and organisers. This ensured smooth transitions between sessions and allowed presenters to focus entirely on delivering their message.

Five-Camera Theatre Production
The centrepiece of our technical delivery was a five-camera multi-camera production setup within the main theatre.
Multiple camera positions allowed us to capture wide shots, audience reactions, speaker close-ups and dynamic stage coverage throughout the programme. An on-site vision mixer directed the live production, creating a polished programme feed while ensuring every key moment was recorded from multiple angles.
This approach provided Unreasonable with broadcast-quality coverage suitable for archive, on-demand viewing, future content creation and promotional use.
Dedicated Interview Studio
Alongside the event coverage, solo16 established a dedicated interview space within a quiet side room at the venue. Using a two-camera setup, our interview cameraman was able to capture high-quality conversations with founders, partners and attendees throughout the event as well as roving interviews. These interviews form an important part of the event legacy, capturing insights and stories that extend well beyond the event itself.
