What a fantastic year it has been for solo16 in TV production!
Over the last 12 months, we’ve had the privilege of working on numerous compelling and high-profile projects. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
APRIL
Delivered full outside broadcast services for ITV’s Loose Women show, filming amidst the stunning yet challenging backdrop of the Eden Project.
The whole programme was pre-recorded inside the rainforest biome which had 85% humidity and a temperature of 25 degrees.
It was broadcast to mark Earth Day on 22nd April.
FEBRUARY & JUNE
We were asked to broadcast the launch of the D-Day 80 event back in February this year. You can read and see more about that event here.
In June we covered the poignant D-Day memorial live on BBC Breakfast with Carol Kirkwood and later interviewing veterans, bringing heartfelt moments to audiences across the UK.
JULY
Provided kit and crew for four election special broadcasts on BBC iPlayer, followed by capturing a murder scene in Bristol in the air and on the ground live for the BBC Six O’Clock News. After the live broadcast we continued to film the scene. This footage has then been used extensively in the BBC coverage since.
AUGUST
Worked on CBBC, supporting a series of live gungings from Scotland to Oxford, and documented civil unrest across two counties.
We were deployed twice to Portsmouth and also Weymouth seafront.
NOVEMBER
Filmed an extraordinary auction for ITV News featuring three iconic jackets worn by Michael Jackson. The Thriller jacket sold for £189,000. There was also a flight case used by Queen which sold for £59.850.
Additionally, we supported a BBC iPlayer series with both ground and aerial footage, showcasing our versatility in diverse filming environments.
Whether it’s live broadcasts or pre-recorded productions, solo16 is here to provide professional, reliable, and high-quality services tailored to your needs. If you require a film crew for television work, don’t hesitate to contact us.
