STEAM Museum - Locomotive Move | Event Filming in Swindon

SHOOT/EDIT
CLIENT BRIEF

Our long term client STEAM, Museum of the Great Western Railway invited us to film two locomotives that were being swapped over.

The client wanted to document the removal of "Hinton Manor" and its tender and then the installation of "2818" and it's tender which had come down from the National Railway Museum at York.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We provided a Camera Operator on the day and two time-lapse cameras ensuring every angle was covered.

We also had a film crew documenting Hinton Manor's move into at the Swindon Designer Outlet Village next door.

The footage was edited into a launch film for the official unveiling which took place on Tuesday 16th October 2018. This can be seen above.

OUTCOME

The client used the time-lapse footage on their Facebook page and the main film for their launch event. We plan to work with them to re-purpose the footage for a permanent video display next to the loco as well.
