Aerial Drone Video & Photography
We create ultra-smooth drone footage at up to 4K resolution using only fully qualified C.A.A drone pilots.
Our drone pilots have aerial permissions granted from the C.A.A.
The cameras are gyro-stabilised and ultra smooth.
A video downlink means the images from the air are viewed on the ground in real time, enabling our Pilot/Cameraman and you the client to maintain full control of the filming angles and framing.
We provide a wide variety of clients, including production companies, corporate promotional videos, property developers, sports, events, commercials and live TV.
We are fully insured with public liability to fly at altitudes of up to 400ft (120m).
We offer high quality RAW still images. Ideal for photographing your venue or event. This service is also widely used for roof surveys and photographing properties that are for sale. Some examples below.
IS SOLO16 LICENSED & QUALIFIED TO OPERATE COMMERCIALLY?
Yes. Our pilots have “permissions for aerial work” granted by the C.A.A. They hold the PfCO qualification granted by the Civil Aviation Authority.
IS SOLO16 INSURED?
Yes. As long as we adhere to operating guidelines and rules laid out by the C.A.A. our pilots are fully insured and we also have public liability cover.
CAN YOU FLY IN ANY WEATHER?
Unfortunately, we cannot fly in the rain! Strong winds can also be a problem however, we use the world’s smoothest camera gimbal which will secure very sturdy shots, however, safety of flying the rig is paramount. Please see our terms and conditions for weather issues.
CAN YOU FLY INDOORS?
We can though we require a very large room to fly in!
HOW MANY PEOPLE OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT?
It depends on what needs shooting and how complex the shots are. We can provide certain shots with a single pilot otherwise a qualified UAV pilot would fly and a camera operator would frame the shots.
HOW LONG CAN YOU FLY FOR?
We can fly for up to around 30 minutes on a single battery, after which we need to land the system to change the power supply. Currently we have enough batteries to stay airborne for at least 3 hours without any re-charge time. If power is available we can shoot all day.
WHAT IS THE HEIGHT, RANGE & SPEED OF THE DRONE?
We are only permitted to fly up to 400ft, however we can apply for extended heights on a job-by-job basis if flying higher is required. We can fly out to 500m giving us a 1km radius and can if required fly at up to approximately 30km/ph and need line of sight with the drone at all times. At this range we would require additional spotters.
HOW MUCH DOES THE SERVICE COST?
We price each job on an individual basis. Factors including the location, risk, amount of pre-shoot work required will play a part.
